PLAN YOUR VISIT

Important Information

• The Oro A.M.E. Church is located in the beautiful Township of Oro-Medonte at 1645 Line 3 North, oro-Medonte Ontario L0L 2X0. 

• The building is not an active church and is opened for tours and special events. As this is a “pioneer” built church there is no heat or air-conditioning in the building. 

• Tours generally last between 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on questions. Pictures are allowed throughout the property. We ask all visitors to note that there are several original pews in the church. We allow visitors to sit on them but due to their age we do ask that you treat them with care. 

• Please note for seniors and those with physical disabilities to come prepared with either light clothing on warm days and layered clothing for cooler colder days. As some walking is involved those needing assistance should bring their walker, canes, and or wheel chair devices. 

• Parking is available along the entrance and along the street (Line 3) across from the church. 

• A  portable restroom is available on site.
